no e-mail / game servers
Last weekend i went to check my e-mail and it came up "page cannot be
displayed" so i went to hotmail, type in my username and password. same
thing.. go to yahoo.. same deal. So i was like WTF. I checked my firewall
settings and they looked fine. I turned off my firewall and the firewall
on my router and same thing. Then tuesday the update for WoW came out. I
couldn't download it from blizz. turned off all the firewalls, still
couldn't. I finally downloaded it from the mirror site and installed it.
I went to play WoW and every time i try to log in it immediately says could
not connect to server. Anyone know how i can fix this? I noticed i
couldn't check my online bank statements either.

Make sure you have no hardware or software firewalls running. Uninstall
WinXP's QoS Packet Scheduler. Reboot computer and powercycle your modem.
Double check all cables. Call ISP.
Keep us updated.

"If your game lacks balance or doesn't have a vision that the developers
are working towards, such as in the case of UO, then you're going to get a
hodge-podge mess.
Instead of "Hey, that looks cool. Let's try it in our game," we need to
hear more of "We're here. We need to be there. Let's get to there." Doing
more of the latter approach you'll hear the true sound of contented fans:
coins dropping in the till." -Tymaron
