"If your game lacks balance or doesn't have a vision that the developers
are working towards, such as in the case of UO, then you're going to get a
hodge-podge mess.
Instead of "Hey, that looks cool. Let's try it in our game," we need to
hear more of "We're here. We need to be there. Let's get to there." Doing
more of the latter approach you'll hear the true sound of contented fans:
coins dropping in the till." -Tymaron

That could be a bargain at twice the price . I know they
couldn't hold up with 10K users... but what if you just had 1k users. At a
mere 8 bucks a month, and considering probably 2-3k per month is rack space
and bandwidth leasing.... you are still talking about 5k per month return
on a 120k investment.. not including your development time, but hey.. it is
your game. That's a 50% ROI annually... now, if only I had capital... and
some coding skill... and an idea.... yeah, then I'd be set.
maybe we could all pitch in and make an Autoduel Online server. Get
Logitech to throw in some gear and dough and we could 'specifically
support' their steering solution .

those that don't.

If it only took a mere 1,000 people for it to be profitable, than I'm sure
that Wish would still be around (of course, that's assuming they paid $120k
for that equipment; if they paid $1.2M financed by maxing out their credit
cards then that's a different story). There are other costs to consider:
labor costs (unless we hire "volunteers" hahahaha), overhead (pool table in
our posh offices), marketing ($tratics costs dough, yo), and interest
payments (1.99%* APR for the first six months!). But it would be fun,
though.

*APR is calculated by taking the highest Prime Rate published in the
Wall Street Journal ever and adding 29.99%.
