Intensity-values/Loot-tables Revealed
Kazue from the Stratics Forums has been kind enough to translate and post
the intensity values located in the Japanses guide mentioned eariler.
Now normally I would just link to his site. But since it is on Tripod there
is a good chance it might come down after many views. So what I am going to
do is post the link and also show you what is on the tripod page.
Click here to go to his
site.
Here is word-for-word what is on his page (once again Thanks Kazue):
Loot From Monsters
Many people requested this info. While I was not willing to,
since actually I paid for the book and this is a bit of work for me.
But I changed my mind it's rather better to write this down than
responding to every PMs. So here you go.
You don't think I'm joking. To your surprise, Yes, I am :-)

Ooh. So the blood elemental is one of the best considering the ease
of killing one. Same loot as a Balron.

I *thought* I killed Silvani, Lord Oaks pixie Queen, right after AoS, she
had nothing on corpse. Zero LUCK. I did 99% of damage and was only one
there to loot corpse. It was empty. Maybe it was before AoS. Maybe Pub18
changed loot tables. My memory of it is not 100%, other then nothing was
on corpse.

I am going to find a way to go after those skelatal dragons. FilthyRich
X4!!! Also those White Wyrms are better then blood elementals. I thought so
after I was getting some more items then Bloods. Also those Ancient Liches
are easy like bloods, just need to watch out for PKs.

Wonder:
I don't think Silvani gives any loot except gold. It is probably a bug. I
also see plain jewlery on her corpse. But I am usually too busy killing
Oaks to check her corpse right after she dies =]

Am I assuming correctly that if I kill two Bloods in time I can kill
Skeletal Dragon, I am getting same amount of loot? My WW and nightmare,
even freshly tamed, kill Bloods in easily under 5sec.

I found Balrons a total waste of time, time vs returns. It seems to me
that they did indead have about same level of loot. I'm glad this chart
shows that. I will experiment with various creature types, but Bloods
still appear to be best loot vs time.

I also would agree Balrons and bloods give about the same loot from my own
experience. I actually kill Balrons faster than bloods since theyre spawn
is easy for me to target while standing in one spot, using peace, discord,
and a pack of ostards. Faster on the over all I mean. But ya, seems fairly
even, and I too am glad too see the chart show it.
And yay for ancient wyrms! if they only spawned faster....

Considering the known spawn locations...
Id have to agree that bloods are the best per amount of time spent and
convienience ease of doing it. If only Doom were not trammy rules

My math may be off but from what I gathered you would have a 1 in 2000
chance of getting a magic item with 5 properties from a filthy rich
creature. 5% chance of drop and 1% chance of that of it having 5
properties. Too bad no "regular" monsters are ultra rich. The loot goes up
considerably.

What luck values were used to list the chance of getting something?
0-1200?
List says possibility % chances but doesn't say if that is at 0 luck or max
luck or what. I assume that luck still plays a factor in some part of your
loot.
Maybe luck doesn't affect the chance of getting the item, just what
properties the item has. I dunno, just thought i'd ask something. hehe.

Luck
What is Luck?
All players have a rating called "luck" that can be modified by items that
have "luck" as a property. Luck affects the loot you can find on monsters
(that you kill) in three different ways:
Luck can affect the number of magic items the monster drops. The higher
your luck, the more likely the monster will drop an additional magic item.
However, it will not increase the number of magic items beyond what the
creature's template allows. For example, if a Ratman Mage's template says
it can drop between 1-2 magic items, having a high amount of luck may allow
2 magic items to appear in the Ratman’s loot, but high luck will not make
it drop 3.
It can affect the number of properties on each magic item. The higher your
luck, the more properties each object can have (up to the maximum number of
properties each item allows).
It can affect the intensities of the properties on each magic item. The
higher your luck, the higher each property might be raised in intensity.
However, it will not increase a property beyond the maximum intensity that
the template allows.
The higher your luck, the more bonuses you can get. An extremely lucky
person might find all 3 bonus groups applied to the loot drop from a
monster he or she kills.
Righto!

I trust the list. Obviously the gold numbers are skewed slightly, but
that's the least of my concerns.
I can attest that the trends at least, follow my hunting experience.
Best thing to fight is Bone Demons, then Skele Dragons, then Ancient Wyrms
and then WW's.

Right! And from the same page as above...
Luck % Luck Change
0.00% 0
12.92% 100 12.92%
18.98% 200 6.07%
23.78% 300 4.80%
27.90% 400 4.12%
31.58% 500 3.68%
34.95% 600 3.37%
38.07% 700 3.12%
41.00% 800 2.93%
43.78% 900 2.77%
46.42% 1000 2.64%
48.94% 1100 2.52%
51.36% 1200 2.42%
That is the % chance to get a bump in Number of Items, Number of Properties
on each item, and Property intensity.
Note, that luck cannot deliver more items than each type can have. For
example, you cannot get more than 1 item from a poor critter, no matter
what your luck. But you can bump the chance that you get that one item to
start with...

remember, this was translated from japanese. So "Elder Lich" would almost
certainly translate to "Ancient Lich".
and the answer is.... inside Khaldun! Noone parks there anymore, its
empty. Maybe Khaldun'll get tweak'd again. it usually does.
First tweak was to kill off the spectral armor drops, which were great. (I
personally picked up a surpremely accurate silver vanq katana from them,
after many many hours)
2nd tweak was making the area affect work again
3rd tweak was removing the doors and not letting you use telekinesis on the
switches.
With all the tweaks to have people avoid the place, there's no need to even
go there anymore save for the Ancient Lich.
